Take the interesting way home

Discover Whyte Secta-E and Secta-E SUV: Avinox power for trails, everyday rides and weekend exploring.

The Whyte Secta-E range brings Avinox assistance to hardtail electric mountain bikes that suit woodland tracks, country lanes and rides that mix the two. Both models pair a 130mm suspension fork with a dropper seatpost and an aluminium frame, giving you support on the climbs and room to move when the trail turns downhill.

Choose the Secta-E if leisure rides and trails come first, or the Secta-E SUV if you want mudguards, a rear rack and lights fitted for everyday journeys. Both use the Avinox M2 system with an integrated 800Wh battery in sizes S–XL, or 600Wh in XS.

Key features across the Secta-E range

Both models share the same core equipment. Here's how it helps when you're out riding.

Avinox M2: assistance that follows your ride

With up to 120Nm of torque and 1,000W peak power, the Avinox M2 gives you strong support for steep climbs and extra help when the trail asks more of you. Its nominal power rating is 250W. Five assistance modes, including Auto and Boost, let you tailor the support to your ride.

Battery capacity for longer outings

Sizes S–XL have an 800Wh battery; XS has 600Wh. The battery is built into the frame, so plan to charge where you keep the bike. It is not designed for routine removal to charge indoors.

Suspension and braking for mixed terrain

The Suntour XCR36X fork gives both models 130mm of front suspension. Four-piston Tektro hydraulic disc brakes help you control your speed, with a larger 203mm front rotor and 180mm rear rotor.

Useful gears and an adjustable saddle

Shimano CUES 10-speed gearing with an 11–48T cassette gives you a spread of gears for climbing and flatter ground. The TranzX dropper post lets you change saddle height as you ride, then return it to your pedalling position.

Ride information within reach

The Avinox display and handlebar control keep ride information and assistance settings accessible. The Avinox Ride app adds battery and range information, route planning, navigation, personalisation and compatible security features.

An e-Bike for the rides you actually do

If your favourite rides link lanes, gravel tracks and woodland trails, the Secta-E gives you front suspension and motor support in a straightforward hardtail layout. There's no rear shock or rear suspension linkage to look after.

Whyte's Total Geometry approach considers the frame, components and weight distribution together to help you feel balanced between the wheels. The tyres reflect how each bike is designed to be ridden. The standard Secta-E uses Maxxis Rekon tyres, which balance rolling speed with braking and cornering grip for woodland tracks and trail exploring. The SUV uses Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres, whose closely spaced centre tread helps them roll smoothly on roads and cycle paths, while the outer tread adds grip when you head off-road. That makes them well suited to commuting and trekking routes that mix tarmac with tracks.

More time out. More places to explore.

Turn your usual loop into a longer adventure, explore a new woodland trail or follow the scenic route home. With smooth Avinox M2 assistance and an 800Wh battery in sizes S–XL, the Secta-E gives you the support and capacity to make more of your riding time. Whyte quotes a range of up to 125km (77 miles) for the 800Wh setup, with actual range depending on your route, riding conditions and assistance level.

The enjoyment continues when the trail gives way to lanes and everyday journeys. The standard Secta-E combines Avinox M2 assistance and an 800Wh battery at a claimed 22.4kg in size L, giving you powerful climbing support and capacity for longer adventures. Whether you're heading out for an hour or making a day of it, there's plenty of reason to take the bike.
