Steep lines, long descents and braking you can feel confident about. Brembo GR-Pro is a hydraulic disc braking system built for demanding mountain biking, from enduro and downhill to powerful e-MTBs. It combines stopping power with fine control, helping you manage speed as the trail gets technical.
Motorsport heritage. Downhill experience.
Founded in Italy in 1961, Brembo brings decades of braking experience from Formula 1 and MotoGP to mountain biking. Its partnership with the Specialized Gravity team took that expertise onto the Downhill World Cup circuit in 2025, with Loïc Bruni winning at Pal Arinsal that July. GR-Pro carries the lessons of that racing programme into a system designed for your own gravity riding.
Power with a feel you can make your own
GR-Pro's four-piston calipers, dedicated discs, pads and hydraulic components are designed to work together. The focus is on predictable braking and managing heat during sustained descents, so you can concentrate on your line.
Three independent lever adjustments let you tune the brake to your hands and riding style. Set the reach for a comfortable grip, adjust the bite point to choose where braking begins, and change the lever ratio to tailor the feel. It's useful control whether you're setting up for a race or a full day of bike-park laps.
Choosing your GR-Pro setup
- Match it to your riding: GR-Pro is aimed at demanding gravity use, where sustained braking and control matter most.
- Check rotor fit: Brembo's dedicated discs come in 200mm and 220mm sizes. Check your frame and fork's rotor limits, mounts and required adapters before choosing.
- Plan the complete system: GR-Pro uses dedicated 2.3mm-thick discs and Brembo-specific mineral oil. Follow Brembo's compatibility and servicing guidance rather than assuming existing parts will carry over.
- Check what's included: brake discs are sold separately from the GR-Pro Kit, so allow for them when planning your upgrade.
