Returning a product under the WEEE Regulations.

What do the WEEE regulations mean?

WEEE (The Waste Electrical and electronic Equipment) Directive is UK law that governs the disposal and recycling of all electrical items. The law, introduced in 2014, puts the emphasis on the producers and suppliers of electrical equipment to pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electricals.

As a retailer that sells new Electrical and Electronic products we will take back old items, provided it is a like-for-like replacement when you buy a new product from us. We will then responsibly dispose of the old product ensuring that it doesn’t end up in landfill.

Old products must be returned directly to our shop or head office (details below) within 28 days of your new purchase, clearly marked as WEEE.

Disposing of equipment yourself

If you choose not to send your equipment back to us for disposal then you can dispose of any electricals or electronics yourself at your local recycling centre, who will dispose of your equipment via a controlled recycling process.

You can locate your closest collection site by entering your postcode at www.recycle-more.co.uk

What products fall under WEEE Regulations?

As part of the WEEE regulations, all electrical and electronic goods produced after August 2005 that fall under WEEE regulations should be clearly marked with a crossed-out bin symbol which means they should not be included with household waste so that they can be recycled

As a responsible retailer we take all steps possible to ensure that our business meets all requirements of any EU & UK consumer protection laws, particularly the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and other legislation specific to the products that we sell.

If you have any concerns or questions regarding this process, please contact us at [email protected].

Merida Big Nine 10K 29er 2026 Carbon Hardtail MTB - Purple/Black

Season:2026

Brand:Merida

Code:P-Q510

You want a hardtail that climbs like a rocket and still lets you rail the singletrack on the way down. The Big Nine 10K feels light under you. It pedals fast. It tracks steady when the trail points downhill. You get less buzz in your hands and more control on long days.

Why it works:

The frame is clean and focused. Progressive angles put you in a confident stance. The ride stays efficient when you put the power down. When the trail steepens, the bike gives you room to lean in and play.

How it helps on the trail:

You notice the responsiveness from the first pedal stroke. The fork smooths chatter and locks out when you want every watt to count. The wheels stay lively and precise. The shifting is immediate and sure. Together, it keeps you fresher for longer rides and sharper when the trail demands speed.

What’s changed:

Merida redesigned the Big Nine’s frame for a modern hardtail feel. It keeps weight low, tyre clearance generous, and adds compliance where your body needs it most. The result is an efficient climber that’s more capable on technical descents.

Key Features:

  • Frame: Lightest CF5 carbon frame with 2.4" tyre clearance and revised, fatigue-reducing compliance
  • Front Suspension: FOX 32 SC Factory 100mm fork with remote lockout
  • Drivetrain: Shimano XTR Di2 12-speed
  • Wheels: Lightweight Reynolds wheelset with carbon fibre rims
  • Ride Performance: Ruthlessly efficient uphill pedalling with improved descending ability
